Each painting is a stylized representation that contains the essence of a particular landscape, whether it is the prairies, mountains, badlands or beyond. The abstracted landscapes are full of vibrant, flowing colours in the fiery skies, jewelled hills or prairie fields.
The flow of colour is made possible with the use of alcohol inks on Yupo paper. Yupo is a plastic product that allows the ink pigments to flow and blend before the alcohol evaporates. After the evaporation, the pure pigments remain which results in such intense colours.
